Botulinum toxin and cosmetic fillers
In England, it is illegal to administer botulinum toxin or cosmetic filler injections for cosmetic purposes to a person under 18, or to make arrangements to provide those treatments to them, except for the limited medical exception provided by law. Parental or guardian permission does not make a cosmetic booking lawful.
Other treatments
We generally require clients to be 18 or over for aesthetic procedures. Any service considered for a younger person must be lawful, appropriate, covered by insurance and professional rules, and may require parent or guardian involvement and additional safeguards. We may operate a stricter age limit than the legal minimum.
Capacity and informed consent
Every client must be able to understand the proposed treatment, material risks, alternatives, expected benefits, aftercare and cost, and must consent freely without pressure. Consent can be withdrawn before treatment begins.
Identification
Accepted proof may include a passport, photocard driving licence or another reliable photographic document. A booking may be cancelled or postponed if age or identity cannot be verified.
